AVID Mediacomposer | Resolve Project Metadata

PostMon Dec 02, 2013 12:57 pm

Hello.

Resolve generates when rendering MXF Rushes in the Metadata field a project entry (the Resolve project name).
This is quite handy sometimes - sometimes not!
From time to time we make more projects for example for one season containing 12 episodes - so that every episode has its own Resolve project.
In AVID then you will have 12 different project tags.
When it comes to the point cleaning up to media drive for archive reasons, etc. with the App Mediamover, we will see 12 projects (12 episodes).
Is there a way to get rid of that project tag in the metadata?

THX

I find the name a bit long winded. Resolve would be enough. Maybe it can be changed by default.

For my understanding the Mediacomposer should do the project mgmt.

If it would just be Resolve - like you suggested, Radman - I would see just one project in the mediamover.

I would like to have a checkbox to force Resolve to fill in project name or to leave it!
