HDMI output from Resolve?

PostMon Oct 08, 2012 7:08 pm

I am wondering if one is using an approved BMD card like the Decklink HD 3D card, will both an SDI signal as well as an HDMI signal be output? I don't own either an approved card or a SDI monitor. I do have the DecklinK Studio card, which is not on the Resolve list of approved cards and it does not show up in my Resolve preferences as an output option. So, before I switch out cards I'd like to know if I can view via an HDMI output as opposed to SDI.
I assume not, but am wondering if anyone knows.
thanks

I have the Decklink Studio card that includes the HDMI on a 2008 3,1 MacPro with Davinci V9 and the HDMI works fine for me:-)

Bill, even though that card is not in the Config guide, I would expect it to appear as a selection in Resolve Preferences / Video Capture Hardware. Are you using a current Desktop Video package with the card? Version 9.5 or higher is recommended for Resolve. Are you using version 9.0.1 Resolve?

Interesting, it does not appear in my setup. I am using 9.01 Lite version on a MAC Pro 2010 and a DeckLink Studio capture playback card. I will troubleshoot more on my end. thanks so much for the information
