How to switch GY-HM650 MXF to better Prores 4444 on Marveric

ProHD is a JVC's term describing a suite of professional high definition camcorders. The JVC GY-HM650 ProHD Mobile News Camera was introduced in 2013. It features superb low-light performance, a lightweight and user-friendly design, and exceptional advanced features, which provide capacity for fast, efficient and high-quality mobile newsgathering.

The GY-HM650 has wide media format compatibility, recording videos as MXF, AVCHD, MP4 and MOV format. As to MXF footage, some editing systems cannot support it well. For instance, it is hard for you to import and edit GY-HM650 MXF in FCP. To bring MXF to FCP, you'd better to transcode MXF to ProRes Codec, ProRes 422 or ProRes 4444. In most circumstances, 422HQ will be sufficient. 4444 does hold more information because it has more color depth than 422. If you are planning to do heavy grading or VFX work from the ProRes, ProRes 4444 is desirable.
