So I just discovered recently that my Go Pro 3 has some pro settings. This is fantastic since I just a got a quadcopter with a gimbal. Right now I have the Protune setting on and also the cam raw white balance setting selected. I am going to be shooting some footage with my BMCC and get some aerial shots with my go pro.
Before I dive into color grading the Go Pro footage I was wondering if anyone has messed around Go Pro Protune footage and had any tips to get the most out of it. I keep thinking that someone mentioned to me once that they got a script or a plug in for resolve that gave RAW like controls to the Protune footage.. but I can't be sure. I know it's 8 bit footage but cineform does have features that allow you to adjust the footage via metadata.. so maybe that's whats happening?
