DECKLINK MINI RECORDER no HDMI INPUT

PostSat Jan 11, 2014 2:29 am

Hi,

We have bought 2 unit of Decklink Mini Recorder, but we did not manage to get HDMI input from both. We are using broadcast equipmets (Harris X50 HDMI output) and from our STB's HDMI outputs. We have read several forums they have the same issue.

Does BM do something about this one? we are really frustrated and we want to send back all blackmagic products that we bought. We will no longer buy any of their product.

Last time we bought more than 100 pcs of Mini converters (HDMI to SDI) for our STB monitoring video wall multiviewer, but the issue is that whenever we set Dolby audio on STB, we wont have any SDI output from all of these mini converters!!! its very frustrating, now with these mini recoder, its really giving us headache!

BM please advise on this, do we need to send back the mini recorder or wait for updates?

Thanks,

What format are you outputting from the Harris X50? if it's not on the specs list then you can't capture it using the Mini recorder.
As to audio issue you were having, I'm pretty sure they will only accept 2 channel uncompressed audio which is why they wouldn't work when you set it to Dolby
