Please add OFF-option to Desktop Video products

Please add OFF / "Release video device" - option to products like DeckLink Mini Monitor 4K, DeckLink 8K Pro, UltraStudio Monitor 3G etc etc.

Please give user the option to set output completely OFF - when there is no output going on.

This is essential for example when a relay is used to switch to an alternative source when the primary machine boots etc.

Maybe the best place to give this OFF option would be in Desktop Video Setup -utility and there the dropdown menu Default Video Standard - OFF

Unfotunately not.. It will just output black in the output format.

Therefore there should be implemented that completely OFF = no signal at all -feature.

I think it is best this is implemented at the application level (Resolve, Premiere, etc.). This is because often users have to switch to another application while maintaining output.

Avid Media Composer has a button on the top of the timeline that disables access to the video I/O hardware. This allows other applications to access the BM hardware while Avid is open.

No! This must be done at the "low level".

The whole point is to give the opportunity to output NOTHING = NO SIGNAL AT ALL when:

[1] software that drove the output has crashed

[2] software has released output device

[3] computer boots (output should STAY COMPLETELY OFF until output is opened by the user with a software like vMix)

Hardware based relay devices can only react if there IS NO SIGNAL AT ALL.

I hope we get this essential new feature sooner than later
