Dual Monitor Video To Single Monitor Output

PostWed Mar 13, 2024 1:58 pm

Working with OBS and Resolve

I can record both screens in OBS which outputs a 3840x1080 video.

I want to have an output video in standard 1920x1080 focused on one monitor at a time.

What's the easiest way to do this with either ZOOM or CROP or another tool that I don't know about where I can easily switch the focus back and forth in post production.

I have searched bot the interwebs and this forum without landing on an answer, but I can't be the first to need to do this. Maybe my search terms or search foo are not up to the task.

Thanks for any assistance.

Set up a 1920 x 1080 timeline and add the footage. Use Transform in the Inspector to 'slide' it over to one screen.

Add an Adjustment Clip over the top and use Transform to 'slide' it over to the other screen.

Whenever you want that second screen, re-use that AC.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
