Weird Artifacts around my Alpha logo.

Dear,

I have been working with DaVinci Resolve for a long time.
And I suddenly have problems with an Alpha logo that didn't bother me before.

And suddenly I have strange artifacts that sometimes pop up with frames or remain visible with a still frame around the edges of my logo like a RGB thing with pixels.

Even if everything is Cached. I also looked in the Project settings under Motion: Optical Flow Scale: Resize to crop and Color: Sharp. I have not changed these settings for years and have never experienced any problems with the same logo and settings.

So,I have also had no problems with my codecs before. I always render twice my project with the same codecs: QuickTime MP4, 1920x1080, 50fps, 20,000kb/s bit rate LUFS -14 (I use it for YouTube) and the second one is always a backup if YouTube fails or gets artifacts: YouTube standard build -in template, 1920x1080, 50FPS, H264 MP4, LUFS -14. Where do my artifacts problems come from all of a sudden?

I once had this problem with a Motion Graphic years ago and in Fusion I had checked a setting under setting. I thought something about “Apply Mask” because I used then a Luma Keyer/ Delta Keyer (way back under Resolve 17.0) and it always cost that back then. But in the latest 18.5 I don't see that settings anymore.

But in this case the same logo I rendered out years ago with DNxHR 444 12-Bit export to Alpha no problems at all until today after a lot of use these years.

When playing in VLC I see the artifacts, I assume that he renders the artifacts and is not just in the player and in the Resolve timeline, as in disappeared when I upload it to YouTube because YouTube re-encodes it?

I'd love to hear all your tips, tricks and help.

Thank you in advance!

I'm working in the free version of Resolve 18.5. And hopefully someone can explain why this happens and whether this happens more often in NLEs? After years of working in Première and After Effects, I have never seen this before.

I guess you are on windows, and an OS update changed the GPU driver.

I’m, that’s an old and not particularly powerful GPU.
I can only suggest seeing what the best GPU driver is for that GPU in that laptop.
