The exact thing happened with mine, so it may be the software at fault.

I’ve contacted BM support and we’ll see if they can address this quickly.

Force a firmware update, back to 12.8.1 - look at the thread I started called 'How to Unbrick an Ultrastudio' - a little search would have found it easily :); 12.9 is not currently recommended for the Ultrastudio 4K Mini, until BMD offer a fix.

Same here 12.9 update lockup and wont recognise my ultrastudio 4k mini. Un-installed and re-installed 12.8.1 now following and waiting for a fix.

I may be misreading you; but if you haven't currently done the fix, then:

You can wait for BMD to issue a update fix, but since they haven't even acknowledged a problem, that may be a while.
