import from Sony NX5 files

PostTue Apr 16, 2024 7:31 am

just bought resolve after 22 years on Avid MC
i seem to have a problem when importing files recorded on a Sony NX 5 in the respect that it seems not to be able to include all of the meta data if you introduce the clip onto the time line sometimes at the start and sometime at the end of the clip there is around 15 frames of the audio missing
as a result if you are required to join s few clips together by the end the sound sync it way out and you are prevented in using a B roll clip which needs syncing either just manually or in multicam
it doesn't happen in MC Premier Pro 0r Edius 10
I've tried include images illustrating the problem but I cant get them in
Anyone else had this problem and is there a fix

Please describe your hardware in full detail and post a sample clip to a cloud service.
You can't attach huge files here. Since you are new, leave a space in the URL close to the start.
Finally, you may get more answers in the Resolve subforum.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.
