media express escape

We are using media express with success but there is one question (with some frustration);
Why does media express stops capturing on 'escape' without saving the files?! (without warning).
I know that Escape is in this case a 'wrong key' is, but its frustrating that there are 'wrong key's' on this sophisticated software.
