PostSun Nov 04, 2012 5:28 am

Hello Forumers,
Just wondering if the Decklink Extreme HD card will send Timecode down the SDI line like the AJA products?
thanks

Yes I am sure it does or it's not worth much.
Can someone else confirm this.

Where would you like the timecode coming from? Out of the edit system?

I see that it does show up when I playback in Resolve!
But what about fcp7. I get timecode missing error on my scope.
Do I need to enable it in fcp somehow?
I was thinking the deckling might have behaved like an avid adrenaline or nitris
where no timecode is embedded in the sdi signal. Only out 9 pin or Ltc port.

Timecode on the SDI signal is RP188, and I don't believe FCP7 supports that. So the only way to get timecode into FCP7 from an SDI source, is via the deck control cable.
