Offline clips replaced with random clips instead of red X

PostTue Nov 06, 2012 8:21 am

I imported an XML from FCP 7 to Resolve 9.0.2. A few of the clips referenced in FCP lack file extensions, which apparently is a problem for Resolve (?). These are quicktime movies. Resolve doesn't seem to show any error message about these 3 clips, but it plays another seemingly random clip "MVI_7782" in their place all 3 times. That clip is used later in the timeline. I'm guessing part of the problem is that the clips have matching timecode and reel number. But they have very different filenames, so why would Resolve be linking the wrong clip here? I think it should show a red X for offline clips, right?
