Compatibility FMLE 3.2 - Decklink Intensity Pro

PostTue Nov 06, 2012 9:36 am

Hello,

Holding a Decklink Intensity Pro, we use Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2 and we encounter problems with encoding our videos.

Indeed, we systematically encounter a problem when we try to cut the videos generated by FMLE with ffmpeg. fmpeg (or the other cutting tools we tested) can not find the reference frame and tells us the following errors:

- Missing reference picture
- Decode_slice_header error

ffmpeg still manages to generate a video, however, the video is jerky or there is a delay between sound and image. Most other programs produce videos without images or fail to read the original video.

Here FMLE settings:
Video
- Format: H264
- Profile: Main
- Level: 3.1
- Keyframe frequency: 1second (important to us)
- Frame Rate: 25fps
Audio
- Format: AAC
- Channels: Stereo
- Single Rate: 44100 Hz
- Bit rate: 64 Kbps

The format of the generated video is f4v (mp4).
The acquisition was made from a card BlackMagic Decklink Intensity Pro.

We also noticed that the error does not occur during an acquisition from other cards we have, which poses the question of the compatibility between FMLE and our BlackMagic card. We have no problems streaming LIVE or VOD, only when it is necessary to cut / encode our videos.

Are you aware of this problem or can you guide us towards a solution? This issue is crucial for our choice of tools.

Thank you in advance,

Jean-Michel
