GTX 570 with resolve 8

PostWed Nov 07, 2012 2:34 pm

Hello, we have the latest MacPro with Mountain Lion, and want to use Resolve 8 with GTX 570 as GPU and ATI 5780 as GUI. Will this config work?
Thanks in advance

One issue... the GTX570 generally needs two six pin power connectors.. so does the ATI 5780... The cards will be seen by Resolve but you will not be able to put both physically in a MacPro as there is insufficient power.
If the 570 is in a PCIe expander that will be fine.

If two Y cables will be installed, can we keep both cards? 5870 and GTX750?
Thanks

If you cant use an expander, try with just the GTX570 and use it for UI and image processing.

Or you can put an extra power supply in your optical drive bay. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817104054
