Media Express Crash - How to restore file

I'm new around these parts. I've had BM products for the past couple of years and only just run into any sort of issues.
Basically, I was recording some footage through my Intensity Extreme when Media Express crashed. It happened after about 8mins of recording.
I'm now left with a .mov file that isn't finalised and I'm wanted to get some of the recorded content from this file. Its 38gb so I'm sure there is something there.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows a way that I can finalise this particular file or if there is a way that I will be able to restore the functionality of the file.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
