Stabilize and keep tracking possible?

PostMon Sep 29, 2014 8:39 am

Is it possible to stabilise the frame and it keeps the tracings I done?
As it is now if I decide to change my stabilisation I need to redo all tracking.

So what I'm wondering is if i have done 20 trackings is there a way to keep them when I press stabilise or do I have to redo all of them?
Thanks

Anyone?
Finilizing my grade and it looks like I will be without stabilisation if I can't figure it out by today :)

If anyone could give a tip I would be really happy.
So I have already done all the power windows, masks etc and then I realise that I need to stabilise the footage. Can this be done?
When I press stabilise then suddenly all the power windows are sitting in the wrong places.
The only way I can imagine is to render out the clip from Davinci, then reimport it and stabilise it but this is clunky.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated

Stabilize is similar to a 'pre-clip' type of operation as it isn't a part of the node-based grade hierarchy, whereas tracking is.

It would be great if we could "parent" the tracks to a stabilize, but we aren't there yet, so I think you are doomed to re-do your tracks.

Hmmmm, you could render out the grade as-is with the tracked windows baked-in, then bring that material back into a new timeline and then just do stabilization on it.
