Importing AAF into Resolve

PostTue Oct 21, 2014 9:41 pm

Hi, I have a AAF project I've been given and its not reading when I import it to Resolve. I can open up the AAF in Avid fine, but Resolve is a no.

I'm unsure of how they exported from Avid, could this be the issue?

This is the first error message when importing;
interpolation avidcubicinterpolator is not supported in this release, Linear interpolation will be used.

Resolve can read the timeline project but all the files are red and not reading.

I just download now Resolve 11.1 and work on a mac.

Cheers.

Just to clarify, your first statement would indicate that Resolve can't open the aaf at all.
Your second statement would indicate it opens the aaf, but doesn't link to the media.

If you aren't linking to the media, it might help to know what type of media you are trying to use.
Are you linking to the same media Avid is using, or are you trying to get back to camera originals?

How are you trying to add this media into Resolve?

Try manually adding your media to the media pool, then bring in your aaf. Play with the link to camera originals button on import.

Next question would be "how was the media created that Avid was working with?"
