Resolve - autosave and the "playhead behaviour" conundrum

PostWed Oct 22, 2014 9:54 pm

So this is a "Blackmagic please add this to resolve" kind of post.

Coming from editing enviroment (Final Cut) - whenever one closes the project or uses autosave . Upon opening again the playhed stays in the last place where it was when last saved. In the long run this really speeds up the work. As we all know software does crash from time to time. refering to an sutosve and trying to decifer when on the timeline did the actual save took place is sometimes pretty tricky, specially when fine tuning the grade and the changes in image are really minimal. If there is a funcionality in place, please someone enlighten me :) if not please Blackmagic make so that when opening the project we are imediatly placed on the last grade we made :)

Yes, I agree -- if they could build in a "Save State" background function that memorized the position of the playhead and the specific timeline open at the time of the last save, that would help.

Two years later - we are now at Resolve 12.5 and the playhed is still all over the place sadly.
