We have one system that's a media composer 6.5 running on OSX 10.8.2 on a 2010 27" iMac. On that system I just hooked up an Ultra Studio Express that has a plasma telly connected to it over HDMI for directorial screening.
THe screening part over HDMI works fine but the ultrastudio hijacks audio and fullscreen capabilities from the editing system so when the editor works locally she needs to disable it. Doing so with the "Bypass hardware toggle" in the Media Composer interface results in an extreme unsync between audio and picture, around a second. So the workaround now is that she has to quit MC and unplugg/replug the ultrastudio for each screening which isn't optimal.
Have anyone seen this and managed to solved the sync issues?
