Hi Guys,
I need some help here as I've run out of ideas.
I'm running Yosemite 10.10.3 on Mac Pro (Late 2013). Outputting signal to Ultrastudio 4K via thunderbolt, monitoring on Eizo CG318 4K that is connected directly to Ultrastudio 4K HDMI output (using HDMI cable that came with the monitor).
This set up seems to be working fine with HD and UHD timelines. However, when I switch to 4K DCI I start experiencing problems with video signal on my Eizo. So the same 4K footage (I tried XAVC from Sony FS7 and BlackMagic DNG files) works just fine when I set monitoring to HD or UHD resolution, but as soon as I switch to DCI 4K, one of YUV channels goes missing, so I get the wrong colours on the monitor. After some tests I've noticed, that it only happens with 25fps projects. So for instance, if I'm working with 4K DCI 24fps sequence in Premiere Pro the problem doesn't exist as oppose to the 25fps sequence. Same happens in Resolve: monitoring 4K DCI 25fps causes the YUV channels fault, but setting 4K DCI 24fps seems to be fixing the issue.
I understand that monitoring in 25fps requires more data, though, according to Ultrastudio 4K tech specifications it should support YUV 10 bit 4096x2160 25fps.
Things I've tried so far:
1. Identical set up in a different studio - no difference
2. Changing monitoring settings to 8bit in DaVinci Resolve - no difference
3. Upgrading Desktop Video to 10.5.1 - no difference
4. Using SDI A output on Ultrastudio 4K and converting SDI to HDMI using BlackMagic SDI to HDMI 4K miniconverter - different YUV channel is missing, colours are still wrong
5. Going through all the signal options on Eizo (YUV 4:2:2, 4:4:4, RGB, Auto) - obviously changing the image, but the fault still exists
Any suggestions? Am I missing something?
Thanks!
