BlackMagic HDLink-Avid MC 7 and Resolve

Yes I am considering a purchase of the BlackMagic HDLink to send a true HD Signal out to my HDMI Client Monitor in both Avid and Resolve, as well as Monitor a 5.1 Audio Mix in Avid. I wanted to confirm that this device is compatible with both Avid Media Composer 7 and Resolve on a PC- Windows 8.1 Pro.

I have the HDLink with the display port option, not the hdmi option.
I don't believe it will work with what you are trying to do.
Before i go into any reasoning, can you give a more detailed signal path of what you are hoping this device will do? You didn't mention any HDSDI signal, which is where i think you are going to get crossed up.
