Teranex SDI to HDMI LUTs and Signalling

Hi,

A quick couple of questions about the Teranex SDI to HDMI 12G LUT capability:

  • Is it possible to apply the LUT to both the HDMI and SDI outputs?
  • Is it possible to correctly flag ITU-R BT.2100 video on the HDMI output?

Thanks
S

I don't know about your second question, but the first is no. That SDI output isn't really an output - it is a loop-through, and happens before any processing except re-clocking.

Hi,

I'm sorry to say, but the SDI out can also have the LUT applied.
But it can only be the same LUT that's already applied to the HDMi out.

And it is HDMI 2.0 compatible, so it should do correctly flag BT.2100.

Really?? I will check that out. I guess I stand corrected.

Is there any plan to add capability to apply a separate LUT to the loop out in a future firmware update? I'd buy one of these for each room we have if we could calibrate our reference monitors and screening monitors with one box.
