Resolve beta on MBP Retina

PostMon Sep 03, 2012 6:39 pm

I thought I'd give Resolve a try on the MBP. I'm able to install, launch and add a user but as soon as Log In Resolve simply quits out. Watching the Console no messages are added after the splash screen so crash log. Any ideas?

I'm not sure why it isn't working for you, but we have been running it on both a 8GB 2.6, and a 16GB 2.7 for over a month now.

I get some shutdowns on my MBPr (16gb) but i am able to run it... until 7 nodes, then there is no more GPU memory.
Do you have the cuda drivers?

No I haven't put the cuda drivers in. Might that be the problem?

Under the "display" preference, turn off automatic graphic switching. That did the trick for me.

yeah thanks, I forgot to mention that I did that before I even tried running it. I'm in the habit of doing that too. It's odd, since this is a pretty vanilla machine.

well, ye-olde restart seems to have done the trick. Next time I'll rebuild the Desktop and zap the PRAM while I'm at it.

Thanks everybody.
