Intensity shuttle & After effects output formats

Hi!

I use After Effects with the Intensity shuttle for monitoring.
AFAIK that this combo only outputs standard video sizes (in landscape mode). I do a lot of digital signage projects in portrait format (9:16), which usually does not output to my external monitor. Today it suddenly worked - for a short time. After switching between apps it stopped working again.

Any Ideas how I could make that work (again)? Seeing my work on the second monitor would make my life so much easier.

Mac, AE 2015, Intensity shuttle Thunderbolt

If anything BM can only scale your image to standard frame size. It will never output non-standard frame size. Look for BM settings page in AE and set to scaling to "fit".

That's why I was wondering that it actually worked for some time! (Without distortion)

My settings have no "fit", only scale up/down/no output. Scale up now seems to work, but of course distorted.

I thought it keeps original aspect ratio.

No, it stretches everything to 16:9

2 years later and still no fix for this. "Scale up/down" is completely inadequate for nonstandard comp sizes. You should be able to letterbox on output regardless of comp size.
