Decklink Studio not detected anymore after failed upgrade

PostSun May 07, 2017 12:18 pm

Hello everyone,

I purchased a Blackmagic Design Decklink Studio 4K card in October 2014. Yesterday, after starting my MacPro (OS 10.11.6), a message told me that the software of the card needed to be upgraded. I accepted and after a few minutes, my computer told me the upgrade failed. When restarting my MacPro, the card was not even detected by the system anymore. I went through many tests to see whether it was detected on another slot or if it could be detected with a previous version of the Desktop Video driver. But the device is still not detected. I suppose the card’s firmware needs to be reflashed to be detected again by the system.

Now I don't know what to do to have my card tested and (I guess) reflashed. This card is announced to be under warranty for 3 years on the BMD website which means until October 22nd, 2017 in my case.

Thank you very much for your help, whoever you are... :D
