Mini Monitor Distorion

PostSat Jun 10, 2017 10:50 am

This morning, when I started my AVID, there is distortion on my display monitor. Small collared dots are visible (see picture). Yesterday it worked fine.

I use the HDMI output of a Declink Minimonitor PCIe playback card. I do not have a SDI monitor, so I don’t know if it’s on the SDI output too.

I changed the cable and put the PC complete powerless and rebooted. No difference. I also tried outputting video from a different program and got the same result.

It has worked for about 3 years flawlessly, so why now suddenly?
Did it die?

I found the answer myself!

I opened the PC and discovered that the card itself was loosened a bit. So I took it out and pushed it in again. After that everything was clear of distortion.

So if you experience the same problem, check the card.
