[Intensity Pro 4K] Could I potentially record from same PC?

PostMon Jul 24, 2017 7:32 pm

I'm unable to test this at the moment but would just like some clarification from someone that's tried it...

I typically record my gameplay off of a PS4 console. However, I've been wanting to record PC game footage with 5.1 audio with the Intensity 4K which is in the same PC, but I'm unsure if I could theoretically just run an HDMI out from the GPU and into the Intensity 4K to record the footage with 5.1 audio? Is this possible?

I think it's better for me to ask first than to assume it would work, try it myself, find out it doesn't work, then spend a few hours thinking I'm just doing something wrong only resulting in hours of failure when in fact it just will not work like that.

So to clarify (TL;DR):

On the same PC, can I run an HDMI out from my GPU and into the Intensity Pro 4K (on the same PC) to record like I always have recording footage off of a PS4?

Yes, this is possible. You can plug your GPU into the IP4K and then plug the HDMI out into a monitor. You may need to connect a second monitor to configure the resolution and refresh rate.
