Ultrastudio mini monitor on Thunderbolt 3 throw adapter

Hi @,
is it possible to connect the ultrastudio mini monitor to a notebook equipped with Thunderbolt 3/USB-C throw the "Apple Thunderbolt 3 USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter"?
Is this going to work?

yes, runs without any problems on my HP Zbook G3 with thunderbolt3

Sorry to jump on an old thread, but did you get this to work?
Im also on Zbook G3 Studio, using Apple's TB3>TB2 adapter, and I'm not getting anything detected in Desktop Video.
The thunderbolt connection appears to register as an unknown 'Base System Device' in Device Manager.
Any ideas gratefully received!

Ok - Ive sorted it.
The Zbook required the 'Thunderbolt 3 Secure Connect Utility' installing, d/l from the HP website.
Cause of course, HP ships its hardware without out all the relevant drivers pre-installed
