MacPro ->BMD HDMI-SDI4K converter->ATEM1 SDI not working

PostTue Sep 05, 2017 4:06 pm

We just bought an ATEM 1 to replace our ATEM unit so now we have 4 keyers but only one HDMI input...

MacPro #1 HDMI to the only HDMI input on the ATEM 1M/E is working.
camera #1 HDMI to a BMD HDMI-SDI 4K converter on SDI input on the ATEM1 is working.
MacPro #2 HDMI to a BMD HDMI-SDI 4K converter on SDI input on the ATEM1 is NOT working.

I cannot find a combination of settings on the MacPro #2/BMD HDMI-SDI4K converter/ATEM that gives me an input signal on the ATEM Mixer. I need to use 1080i but have tried other resolutions with no luck.
If I connect MacPro#2 to the HDMI input on the mixer it works just fine but I need to connect 2 MacPro's and I only have one HDMI input.

It seems like the BMD HDMI-SDI converter is the problem...

I have tried different HDMI cables, different SDI inputs and tried one of the BMD converters that works fine with a camera to no avail.

Any ideas what else to try?
