Old as the hills!

PostThu Sep 07, 2017 3:35 pm

I've just been asked to edit some material shot on an Ursa Mini Pro - but my kit is well old;
Avid Xpress Pro (PC)
Windows XP

Camera Cards not recognized by XP. I have a W7 pc but that does not read the MAC format of the card.

I have a MAC G5 which reads the card and I can transfer the files on the camera card to the G5 HDD but image is black. Must need a newer QT codec I guess.

Ideally I would like to edit on the Avid system - anyone able to suggest a work-around?

Thanks.

If the cards are formatted in HFS+ it will probably work with Macdrive.

RTX 3090
DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G
Resolve Studio 17.4.1

That was brilliant! Thank you so much, worked a treat. Think I owe you a pie and a pint!
