Audio Not Showing up in Edit of Mode of Davinchi Resolve

I am just trying to use my individual time lines that are synced picture and sound and pull them down in a new timeline and start editing. The picture looks great, the sound is there below with the green boxes and you can see the peaks of dialogue and everything.... But.... the sound is being muted, you here nothing at all. On the right side of the page where the VU meters usually go up and down... There is no response.
Is there something or some tab in preferences I have not enabled? I did go in and find a tab that says
"Audio Enabled" and that was clicked on....
If anyone knows how to help me, please email back!
