Editing compressed CDNG

Do any of you edit native compressed cinema DNG files or do you create proxies? With compressed DNG you can only edit in Resolve. Haven't made that experience yet, but the hassle of the proxy workflow might be worth trying...
Would be interested in opinions from people used to edit (compressed) DNG natively.
