Hyperdeck Shuttle driver - conflict with Desktop Video?

PostTue Oct 10, 2017 12:29 pm

hi

I have a Hyperdeck Shuttle which I seldom use, but now need to update the recording settings.

A year or two ago I bought a new PC and installed an old Blackmagic Decklink capture card, for which I use Desktop Video 9.5.3, which was just about the only version which didn't cause me conflicts.

I'm now trying to reinstall my Shuttle software, but it insists that I must uninstall Desktop Video, which I don't want to do as I still use it.

How can I resolve this?

thanks

Unless there's a reason to have the HyperDeck software installed, there is no update for the product via firmware since 4.3 so you're more than likely to have the current version installed.

It's the hyperdeck utility i want to use, i assume it's bundled in with the update or can it be downloaded elsewhere?

Desktop Video (DTV) was included with the HyperDeck software previously. I would just say to uninstall DTV and install the HyperDeck software to manage whatever changes you need to and the remove it to install DTV again.
