MacPro6,1 Thunderbolt 3 device connecting with TB2 host

We think we need a power supply for the UltraStudio HD Mini. We have a MacPro6,1 (late 2013) with Thunderbolt 2 connectors. Thunderbolt 2 does not support Power Delivery for devices with TB3. Any one can circumvent this problem?
