Render all Bar missing? - Resolve 9 Beta 3

PostWed Sep 05, 2012 1:04 pm

Hello all,

I'm trying to solve why I am unable to render more then clip at once.

ie. I try and use the mouse / right click to select all clips in the timeline to add to a render job.
But, no contextual menu appears when trying to do so.

I've looked online and come across this training film for TAO of color. In their example there is a orange bar in the mini timeline illustrating what clips have been selected for the render queue.

I seem to be missing this bar.
I'm running Resolve 9 Beta 3 full version with the USB dongle key which was sent with the Resolve 8 purchase.

Any clues to why this may be so?
Thanks for any nuggets!!

It was there in earlier betas, but it's disappeared for "render all", indeed.

Thanks for the reply.

Is any one else having this experience with Resolve 9 Beta 3?
ie. not being able to select all clips on the deliver timeline to render out.

Thanks.

Did you see the reply in your other thread regarding "select all" ? Try right-clicking a bit higher up in the mini timeline above the thumbnails.

Unless you can get it to work, a workaround for now (hey, it's still a beta! just weird it doesn't work at your place though), is to select the first thumbnail, right-click and select "mark in", and "mark out" for the last thumbnail.

Hi Ola,

Yup, tried all the above. Even a fresh install.
No luck.
I an only render one clip at a time in the timeline.

What I do is, set up all of my render settings, "Mark In" on the first clip, "Mark Out" on the last clip, right click on the top of the timeline and select "Select All", then using shift, make sure that every thumbnail is selected in the timeline (so they're all orange), then click "Add Job".

It's a bit of a long-winded way of doing it - and I'm sure I could drop out a couple of steps, but it works for me.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the reply.

The issue I have is the right click: Mark in/out & Select all doesn't do anything.
ie. I can call up the function but nothing happens after clicking.

Question to Blackmagic:
Is there a place to get Beta version 2 from?

Thanks,
Steve
