LG C7 won't handshake w US Mini Monitor output

Hello:

Can't get my new LG C7 55" OLED to display the HDMI output from Resolve via the UltraStudio Mini Monitor. I think it could be an HDCP or EDID issue. Anyone else having similar issue, or know of a fix?

Thanks in advance.

Best, JIM.

My fix was to use a Teranex-Mini HD-SDI -> HDMI converter, and that stablized the HDMI output to the point where the LG C7 never fails. You can also embed a 32x32 LUT in the Teranex-Mini as an added feature.

Quite expensive fix of something which is most likely a bug :)
Sounds like a great business model for BM :)

It's a problem with the C7, not a problem with the Mini-Monitor per se. And in truth, before I switched over to the 4K UltraStudio, I had zero problems with the Mini-Monitor. Every so often, it'd go stupid, but usually a reboot would solve it for days and days. Using an HDMI connection is fraught with problems because of HDCP, which is nobody's fault except the electronics industry in general.

If other BM device works fine (or other brand) then it's rather BM card issue not LG.
I done quite a lot R&D testing few yeras ago and BM HDMI preview was a problem very often. Aja for example worked almost always fine regardless of tv model.
