CPU Upgrade = Performance increase?

Im struggling with the desicion to upgrade from my 6 core 4930k to a 7820x 8 core. I edit mostly 4k cinema DNG in a 2K timeline in reaolve as well as some different codecs in premiere. I just ordered a used 1080 GTX to upgrade from my 770 GTX 4Gb. Exept from rendering, would I likely be seeing a good performance increase with the 7820x in working in Resolve (&premiere) or will the 1080 GTX be sufficient with my 4930k which I intend to overclock to 4.4 GHz?
