only UltraStudio HD Mini works, thunderbolt2 devices doesn't work. Desktop Video 10.9.7 dont't recognize nothing except UltraStudio HD Mini.

That is the smallest Thunderbolt 3 capture device we have. The others as you've eluded to would require an adapter to connect via TB2 to TB3.

I kinda gave up waiting and purchased a Decklink Mini Monitor 4K and have it in an external PCIe enclosure. I was hoping they'd release an Ultra Studio capable of 4K with TB3 but no such luck.

We've used the Apple branded adapter with no issue.

Hey everyone, I know this is a bit of an older thread, but I'm having an issue with the apple branded adaptor. My monitor goes form black to a lighter black so I know it is getting power, but the Desktop Video Setup 10.9.12 isn't recognizing the device. I know it's supposed to, but it just ain't seeing it... Can anyone give me an idea of how to solve this? It worked like a charm with my 2013 Mac Pro Quad Core, but I upgraded to a new system and need to get this up and running...

Thanks

Deryk

MacBook Pro Touchbar 2016 and all kinds of adaptors. Resolve 14.3 Studio.

Man, it would be great if Blackmagic could release a USB-C/thunderbolt 3 version of the Mini Recorder...

Hey Tony - the HD looks great, but is obviously for a different use case (and price point) than the Mini. $495 is a solid jump from $145. Main issue with the older/current Mini Recorder in the day of the new Macbooks is that the apple TB2->TB3 adapter is $49. It works great, but it's a bummer than the adapter costs 30% of the recorder.
