I am trying to record a taped video broadcast from my DVR box. I am going to an HDMI to SDI BM converter then SDI into the Hyperdeck Studio Mini. Once I connect to the SDI in on the HyperDeck the video input starts to take hits. I tried to connect a BM Sync Generator to the Hyperdeck Mini but my Timecode is greyed out.

Any thoughts?

DVR box probabbly has HDCP encryption. You wont be able to record of such a device.

Try to see if you can display it on a SDI monitor. If that has the same effect or just goes well.
