Lots of discussion (Full Disclosure: I started it) about the Tangent Element mapping in v10b over at LiftGammaGain
http://www.liftgammagain.com/forum/index.php?threads/resolve-v10b-tangent-element-comments.1827/

On the other hand, I'm pretty happy with a lot of the other "moves forward" in v10. The editor is a big one for me. Well done.

Manual about 3D is completely messed up!
I will be good if there is some detailed instructions..or some video clip tutorial.
After creating left and right bins there is no option...choose Stereoscopic 3D Sync.???(timecode is the same)
When you right click in the master bin,the only option that is visible is:create stereo clip...

This is only an example. For someone that trying to do 3d for the first time its a waste of time :(

Important v10 Beta Pre-install Notes
• If you are using a Disk Database, v9 projects can be opened by v10 beta
• If you are using a Postgres Database with V9, please export all projects you wish to
move to v10 beta before upgrading to v10. After upgrading to v10, you will be
prompted to create a new database and you can then import V9 projects
• The new OpenFX plugin support and temporal processes in v10, optical flow speed
changes, temporal NR and motion blur, all use significantly more GPU RAM
compared to other image processing. We now recommend a minimum of 2GB of GPU
RAM for HD image processing and greater than 4GB of GPU RAM for 4K images if
Plugins or temporal processes are to be used
Stereoscopic 3D is not supported in this version

Can't find the "Grab missing stills for all clips " anymore in R10 release. Was it removed or moved somewhere else?

In Resolve 10 the default setup does no longer creates a Master Timeline that matches the Media Pool contents.

If you want that to happen then you need to change your project settings accordingly : Project Settings> Color > Timeline Settings > Automatically match master timeline with media pool. You can set it project by project as needed or save it as your default setup.

Otherwise, just go to to the Edit page, choose to create a new timeline and in the New Timeline Properties window you can uncheck the "Empty Timeline" checkbox. Whatever is in the Media Pool at that point will be added to the new timeline you just created.

Or simply create an empty timeline and then edit in your clips from the Media Pool as needed.

Check the manual. Page 167 has more details on the Master Timeline.

" please post a tutorial with the complete workflow from Avid to Resolve in Stereoscopic 3D.

...

Please help me to do my stereoscopic work!"

Hi/ Bonjour Emmanuel,

I have the same problem, (Avid MC7 - Resolve 10.0.0.073 dongle.) The stereoscopic aaf of Avid make 40 mad video tracks in Resolve, even if it's just a L or R aaf)

Did you find some light for a way to grade and 3D correction in Resolve 10 (which is great) a film edited in 3D in Avid ?

Best regards,
Amicalement,

Split Screen compare is a great addition; makes it really simple to auition a few stock looks with clients, especially clients who may be quite new to video - i.e. have mainly done print but are moving into TV advertising.

It could only be better if the splits were labeled;

So the original/timeline clip could display either 'SOURCE clip name(A001C013)' or Version #

The Gallery still could carry their Shot grab # '1.3.2' or Label.

This would make it super easy to identify which is the correct still the client has selected, especially if you are looking at a split of 9 very similar grades!
