H.264: Can 1/4" TRS and HDMI audio both get to Media Express

PostTue Dec 12, 2017 1:21 am

Howdy!

I have an HDMI signal coming into the H.264 with audio already embedded, and I'd ideally like to also add additional channels of audio to get picked up in the Media Express software as 2 more additional and separate channels. Meaning right now during capture, I get the [V 1 2] tracks enabled from the HDMI signal, so if I was to plug in additional inputs to the open 1/4" TRS inputs of the H.264, will Media Express then look like [V 1 2 3 4] for my incoming channels?? Then I have 4 audio channels to mess with in Premiere? Or can only 2 channels of audio ever come out of the h.264... (and if so, how can I ever get the other inputs in Media Express enabled?)

That would be awesome if the answer is yes - then I'll go buy the required hardware....

Thanks!!

It only supports 2 channels regardless of how it gets them.
