Upgrading to Studio (Fusion & Resolve) - several questions

PostSun Dec 17, 2017 4:55 pm

Hi guys,

I'm so annoyed by adobe products that I wanna leave the cloud subscription behind me. Resolve has mostly convinced me as a capable editing tool - especially with CDNG workflows. Though I have several questions. I've been using the free version but think about switching to the studio version:

- Preview Render: In Premiere you could do a preview render. I know about Smart Cache in Resolve, but does this also render (OFX) effects that won't be playing back smoothly otherwise?
- Deflicker: is the deflicker effect working great for timelapse shots?
- Stabilization: The Resolve stabilizer (both classic and regular) is frustrating and not quite there yet. So I thought about getting "Fusion Studio" as well. Is it easy to stabilize with fusion? And does it work great? I never had struggles with warp stabilzer in PR & AE...one thing I'll miss.
- Optical Flow: is there a good optical flow function in Fusion?

Thanks for the tips.

Cheers
