Windows or OSX

PostSun Jan 14, 2018 10:36 am

Hi,

I'm a relative new user. Just an amateur that would like to 'Resolve' some GoPro and Drone video and then upload to YouTube.

I need to upgrade my computer soon. As far as Resolve is concerned, is OSX or Windows a better platform?

Are there more crashes/problems reported on one platform than the other?
Does one require more high spec desktop/laptop than the other?

All replies welcome, but would prefer knowledgeable replies and not just from the blind followers of either side...

If you don't need ProRes output, Windows + Cineform is perfect.

I have 3 Resolve systems on Windows and they've all performed fine. As long as you get good hardware (GTX 1070 and up for GPU) you'll be fine.
