HDMI to SDI OpenGear Converter - AUDIO

I have an HDMI to SDI OpenGear converter for the HDMI output of a computer.
The computer is muted, has all the Audio devices disabled, and the Audio Turned off in the HDMI.
Still, the SDI video signal generated has Audio Sample errors.
Is it possible that the Converter is introducing this errors?
If so, is there a way of disabling the audio totally?
