How do I make this thing work?

I bought the Black Magic Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt a couple years ago and am just now getting around to trying to use it and for the life of me, can't make heads nor tails of the thing or the included disk. Normally, you get a software disk and it just installs the drivers, etc and you go. But this disk has like ten different folders, none of which really say what they are or what I need to make this hardware function. I did try one of them and it keeps shutting down saying that I need a later version of the MAC OS, but I have it so the software clearly isn't really paying attention to the machine it's currently on.

The website is useless as I ask for drivers, etc, but it's just a large three column menu of random topics.

So, what do I need to do to make this thing work? I've got the white box plugged into the MACBOOK PRO via Thunderbolt and my camera plugged into the white box. Now what?

After several hours, I figured this out. The program needed from the disk didn't work as it wasn't recognizing the OS version on my new MacBook Pro.

It took a while to figure out which link to use on the support webpage then while longer to figure out how to configure the settings. None of this process is intuitive at all nor explained anywhere. As it is, my old NTSC 4x3 video is being cropped on top and bottom. Adjusting capture settings only results in not seeing a picture at all. The only option I have results in the cropping.

Oh well. It's a handy tool, but BM really needs to work on its installation and use instructions. It's just a mess.
