Intensity Pro 4k upscales but crops the signal

PostMon Feb 05, 2018 4:30 pm

Hi

I looked for an answer in the forum but maybe I missed something. Please re-direct me to the proper topic if there is one.

I'd like to upscale some SD videos (mostly Hi8 and VHS) to HD 10bit. This card is supposed to do the job ("HD Up Conversion: Real time SD to 1080HD and 720HD during video capture" as it says in tech specs of the card) but no matter which settings I use, the best I get is a HD video... but cropped and 16/9 (anamorphic) even if I choose "Display as: Pillar Box" under "SD to HD" in the Conversion panel of Desktop Video.

I tried to capture the videos directly in Resolve and also in Media Express.

Any idea where the problem comes from?

Thanks

Looks like this has been discussed and it was reported and confirmed as bug.

Is there any other way to upscale SD to HD using the Intensity Pro 4K? Or third party software that could do the job?

They all will use hardware upscale throw "drivers", so most likely all will be affected (although this may no need to be 100% the case).
