I'm looking on the site. But does BMD have a box that is like AJA LUT Box or FSI LUT I/O?

The new 6G mini converters have 33pt 3D LUT storage and can also apply it to the SDI loop out.

I'm looking and don't see the LUT info? I'm I missing something?

Look at the section about LUT support here. Note that only the 6G *branded* converters do this, not the older 4K models featuring 6G SDI

Hi, can we able to use it to store a calibrated LUT for the projector which is connected via this? Or does it recognized by the calibration software to load the LUT file once the calibration process done. If I asked a wrong question kindly ignore it. Thank you.

You have to make or download a compatible LUT file, and load it into the converter. It doesn't act as a calibrator or LUT file creator. But if you have a calibrator that makes the LUT, then load it into the converter, it should work to apply that calibrated setting to the video.

I think i covered your question.

The Mini-Teranex HD-SDI -> HDMI converters will hold a 33-point 3D LUT.

Please, confirm this:
I have a Decklink Mini Monitor 4K directly connected to my Panasonic OLED via HDMI. Now, in order to have a LUT Box, I should buy a Mini Converter SDI-to-HDMI to be connected to my Decklink via SDI, and to my OLED via HDMI. In this way I can upload a LUT directly into the Mini Converter and be happy.
Is that all right?

If yes, two more questions:
1. Any recommendation about the SDI cable?
2. Is there a realistic performance improvements in using a LUT Box instead leaving Davinci handling the LUT?

Many thanks

The Blackmagic Design Micro Converter Bi-Directional SDI to HDMI 12Gis the best solution.

It has one slot for a 33-Point 3D LUT upload.

You can use the HDMI in-out for RGB-FULL 10-bit up to 2160p30 or YCbCr 4:2:2 10-bit up to 2160p60.

SDI cable is not required as it can apply the LUT from HDMI in -> HDMI out.

Thanks for your reply. Silly question: what does the “wPSU” version do? I can't understand the difference between the 2 versions. Which one should I buy?

With power supply unit, the cheaper version is sans psu.

Good Luck

Yes, of course :D but why one needs power and the other doesn't? What can PSU version do more than the non-PSU version?

Nothing, it just comes with a power supply.

OK, I'm officially stupid (I know: it's a well-known fact) so, please, don't take it badly, guys, but you are basically saying that Blackmagic sells two identical devices, one equipped with a completely useless PSU (added for obscure psychological reasons) available just in the case you want to support Blackmagic with 10$ more...??? :D
C'mon... There must be a reason why the company sells that product in two versions.
So - sorry if I insist - but I'd like to know: in which situation should I prefer the PSU-version over the non-PSU-version?
Thanks for your patience.

Because you don't have an available USB-C power supply, or anywhere to plug in a USB cable, I suppose.
