Desktop Video 10.9.10 resets OSX system input source to US

Hello, I came across an annoying issue with Desktop Video, latest version.
I'm running a MacBook Pro 15" (late 2013, OSX 10.13.3), German keyboard layout and language/country set to German.

Whenever I restart my computer it is reset to US settings for the input source (keyboard) in system preferences. German settings are deleted. The lucky part is that I am not using any Umlauts or special keys to log in...

After setting up everything back to German it works fine until another restart. Then only US settings again.

Solution: Removing DesktopVideo from my system. Then no setup changes.
BUT: This makes my UltraStudio Mini Monitor useless (and Resolve in a way too!)

I can definitely reproduce this issue by installing DesktopVideo again!

So my workaround for now is to setup the German input source in preferences again after every startup.

Am I the only one?

Hi
I have this problem too
English system, Swedish keyboard
Occasionally after both logout and restart (but not every time) keyboard is switched to US and the Swedish keyboard choice is gone
I've had it already on Sierra and also on High Sierra after upgrade

Now I let the status with country flag appear up in the list so I see when it happens
It works to open Keyboard preferences:Input Sources and add Swedish again, then switch but it's very irritating, a program should never do this on it's own!!!

I have it both on a iMac 5K i7 and an older MacBook Pro i7
And I 'm sure it happened before 10.9.10 too
Both machines have either a Decklink mini monitor TB or a USB Intensity shuttle attached most of the time

Björn, thanks for jumping in.
You just confirmed exactly my observations.
I also remember this behavior on Sierra - but I never connected it to Desktop Video.
I only found out by several de- and re-installings of the latest version.

Today I downgraded to Desktop Video 10.9.7 to see what happens.

First of all I could not start the preference in system preferences.
The icon kind of reacted by clicking on it but nothing else happened. So this version was not made for use under High Sierra.

BUT: Even with this non-working! version after a fresh start of my Mac all keyboard settings were gone and reverted to US only!

And I do not agree with Mark - at least it is not only High Sierra related!
No other extension is doing this and BTW should never manipulate my basic system settings!

I will talk to BMD support about this issue.
