Teranex mini clips white level of luts

I bought a teranex mini sdi to hdmi to place a lut in my signal path.
It is clipping the lut white level at legal even if the “clip to legal level” is unselected in teranex control panel.
Spectracal has confirmed this and says blackmagic does this.
This is nuts and renders the teranex lut feature useless. Just to be clear, the teranex does not clip white when lut is disabled (unless you select “clip to legal level”.) But it always clips any loaded luts.
Can I get my money back? I don’t need a $500 sdi>hdmi box that cant apply a lut properly.

In Resolve I was unable to create LUTs that would track with any accuracy on an external box unless the project was set to "data" level even if the timeline was "video" level. Resolve is surprisingly handicapped when it comes to relegating super whites in a non data level workflow.

Just look for a new release. It will be fixed there. Beta already tested.
